Obituary

Joy Kane nee Feldman, 68, beloved wife of Irwin for 38 years; loving mother of Todd and Jodi Kane; dear sister of Marc (Rayna) Feldman; fond sister-in-law of Marcia (William) Marvin; devoted daughter of the late Hy and Elaine Feldman; many loving nieces and nephews. A devoted wife and mother her dedication extended to the special needs students she served. The family wishes to thank the staff at North Shore Place for the extraordinary care they gave to Joy. Chapel service, Wednesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. December 27th, 2017

I vividly remember my first marathon, in the chute heading to the finish, high on finishing, and someone called out my name. I had no idea Joy would be there but I remember that feeling and that recognition and the fact that she cared enough to be there. I also remember well her heartfelt words on the loss of my son. She was a compassionate soul. My brother was a very lucky man to have found her and to now have those loving memories.

So sorry over the shocking loss of Joy. She was always a joy to see at Northshore. I particularly loved when she wore her Joy sweatshirt. She will definitely be missed on 2. 💜💜Barbara ((Ceil’s daughter ).
